SO WE'RE UP ABOUT 1,000 STUDENTS FROM THE SAME TIME LAST YEAR.
AND AS YOU KNOW, AFTER LABOR DAY, WE TEND TO GET MORE AND MORE KIDS.
SO I REALLY THINK AT SOME POINT THIS YEAR WE'LL PROBABLY HIT THE 23,000 MARK.
SO I WANTED EVERYONE TO BE AWARE THAT WE ARE AHEAD OF OUR DEMOGRAPHERS REPORT.
SHOULD ALL OF THESE STUDENTS COMPLETE THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS AND SHOW UP ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.
AND THE THE DEMOGRAPHER HAD US ABOUT 22,450.
AND SO WE ARE ALREADY 200 KIDS AHEAD OF OF WHAT THEY PROJECTED.

AND COMPARED TO A LOT OF THE OTHER LARGE DISTRICTS IN THE AREA, WE'RE WELL AHEAD.

SO WE HAVE STRESSED THAT COMPLETELY AS WELL AS WITH ALL OF OUR DEPARTMENTS, THE IMPORTANCE OF THESE IDS BEING READILY AVAILABLE AND EMPOWERING EACH OF OUR STAFF TO CALL PEOPLE OUT WHO DON'T HAVE THEM, AND QUITE FRANKLY, TO ADDRESS IT IMMEDIATELY.

ONE OF THOSE THINGS INCLUDED THE SUMMER TARGETED PARTIAL SAFETY AUDIT.
I JUST FINISHED ALL OF THE AUDITS FOR OUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS THIS PAST YEAR, BUT WHAT THEY DID IS THEY HAD A REQUISITE 50 QUESTIONS THAT THEY WANTED US TO REVISIT ON EVERY SCHOOL CAMPUS, AND I'M IN THE PROCESS OF COMPLETING THOSE NOW.
WE DO HAVE 26 CAMPUSES, SO WE WILL BE LOOKING AT THAT.
WE DO HAVE A COMPLIANCE DATE, I BELIEVE, BY SEPTEMBER 9TH FOR SUBMISSION, BUT THAT IS DEFINITELY GOING TO TAKE SOME BOOTS ON THE GROUND ACTIVITY FOR ME TO BE ABLE TO ACHIEVE THAT PARTICULAR PIECE OF IT.
ADDITIONALLY, WE WERE REQUIRED TO DO AN EXTERIOR DOOR SAFETY AUDIT.
IT WAS AN EXTREMELY LABOR INTENSIVE ENDEAVOR WHICH WAS LITERALLY GOING TO EVERY SINGLE EXTERIOR DOOR IN THE DISTRICT AND DOING AN INSPECTION BASED ON ALL OF THE CRITERIA THAT THEY ESTABLISHED FOR US.
