FIRST OF ALL, I'D LIKE TO GIVE AN ENROLLMENT UPDATE.

AS OF TODAY, WE ARE AT 23,391 STUDENTS.

AND SO, WE ARE JUST 51 SHY OF WHAT OUR DEMOGRAPHER SAID WE WERE GOING TO BE.

IT'S PRETTY AMAZING. AND OUR DEMOGRAPHERS ARE IN THE AUDIENCE, SO HOPEFULLY THEY'RE FEELING THE LOVE RIGHT NOW.

[LAUGHTER] NEXT, OUR ATTENDANCE FOR THE DISTRICT IS 93.78%.

AND SO, YOU KNOW, WE STARTED OFF THE YEAR AROUND 95, 96%.

AND IT'S STEADILY BEEN GOING DOWN WITH THE FLU AND RSV AND ALL THE DIFFERENT THINGS.

AND SO I'M GLAD THAT WE'RE ABOVE WHAT OUR TARGET IS.

AND I FEEL CONFIDENT THAT WHEN WE GET BACK FROM THE HOLIDAYS AND START A NEW YEAR, THOSE TRENDS ARE GOING TO GO UP THE OTHER DIRECTION.

SO THAT'S GOING TO BE EXCITING.

AND THEN THE LAST THING, AS FAR AS NUMBERS I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU UIL RELEASED THE RECLASSIFICATION AND REALIGNMENT CUTOFF NUMBERS FOR CONFERENCES FOR THE 24-25 SCHOOL YEAR AND THE 25-26 SCHOOL YEAR.

AND SO BASICALLY, WHAT THEY DID IS THEY BUMPED EVERYTHING UP 50 STUDENTS.

SO 6A IS 2275 AND ABOVE.

AND SO JOHNSON, LIKE WE PREDICTED, WILL REMAIN IN 6A.

AND THEN LEHMAN AND HAYS WILL BOTH BE IN 5A DIVISION ONE AND LIVE OAK ACADEMY WILL STAY IN CLASS 2A.

AND SO JUST WHAT WE PREDICTED HAPPENED.

THEY JUST RAISED THE BAR ABOUT 50 STUDENTS, SO WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYBODY WAS AWARE OF THAT.

AND THEN I SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST.

AND I'M GOING TO GET UP AND COME AROUND TO THE FRONT.

SO MISS BORRESON, DIANNE BORRESON, COME ON DOWN TO THE FRONT.

[APPLAUSE] SO, AS MANY OF YOU HAVE HEARD, DIANNE BORRESON IS RETIRING SHE WENT FROM FULL TIME A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO TO PART TIME.

AND DIANNE'S BEEN WITH US FOR 37 YEARS, AND AND SHE STARTED AS A SECOND GRADE TEACHER, I BELIEVE.

AND SHE'S WORKED HER WAY UP THROUGH THE DISTRICT.

AND, YOU KNOW, THE THING THAT I'VE LOVED ABOUT DIANNE IS FOR THE FIRST TIME, I GOT THE LAYMAN'S TERMS FOR WHAT WAS HAPPENING IN THE WORLD OF TECHNOLOGY, BECAUSE MOST OF THE TIME IT'S JUST WELL OVER MY HEAD.

BUT SHE COULD SHE COULD TALK TO ME IN TERMS THAT I COULD UNDERSTAND, AS SHE COULD WITH THE COMMUNITY.

AND SHE'S BUILT A GREAT DEAL OF TRUST AMONGST OUR TEACHERS, OUR KIDS AND OUR STAFF OVER ALL THESE YEARS.

AND SO, DIANNE, I WANT TO PRESENT YOU WITH THIS PLAQUE.

AND IT SAYS IN APPRECIATION FOR 37 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AS A TEACHER, DISTRICT TECHNOLOGY PIONEER, AND A MEMBER OF THE EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION

I'M DR. BARBARA MANWAHL AND I'M A RESIDENT OF HAYS COUNTY.

I'M ARGUING AGAINST HAVING CHAPLAINS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS.

IN THE UNITED STATES WE HAVE A FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT OF RELIGION AND BELIEF IN THE WORLD IN WHICH WE LIVE TODAY.

ALL FAITHS AND NON FAITHS COEXIST WITHOUT FAVOR OF ONE OVER ANOTHER.

TO GET A JOB AS A CHAPLAIN ONE GENERALLY IS ENDORSED BY A PARTICULAR RELIGIOUS GROUP, WHICH IS INCONSISTENT WITH THE NATURE OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS,

BECAUSE IN THESE SCHOOLS, WE SEE STUDENTS FROM A VARIETY OF RELIGIOUS BACKGROUNDS AND SOME STUDENTS WHO HAVE NO RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION AT ALL.

THE LAW CONCERNING CHAPLAINS RAISES TWO SPECIFIC QUESTIONS TO WHAT END AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE WILL CHAPLAINS BE USED? WITHOUT QUESTION, PUBLIC SCHOOL EMPLOYEES RETAIN THEIR RIGHTS TO FREE EXERCISE OF RELIGION.

WHEN OFF DUTY SCHOOL EMPLOYEES ARE FREE TO ENGAGE IN WORSHIP, PROSELYTIZING, OR ANY OTHER LAWFUL FAITH BASED ACTIVITY.

WHEN THEY ARE ACTING AS REPRESENTATIVES OF A PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM HOWEVER, THE SUPREME COURT HAS CONSISTENTLY SAID THEIR RIGHTS ARE CONSTRAINED BY THE FIRST AMENDMENT'S ESTABLISHMENT CLAUSE THAT SAYS CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW RESPECTING AN ESTABLISHMENT OF RELIGION.

UNFORTUNATELY, AS A LETTER FROM 100 CHAPLAINS WHO WERE AGAINST THE TEXAS BILL POINTED OUT, THERE'S NO REQUIREMENT IN THIS LAW THAT THE CHAPLAINS SHOULD REFRAIN FROM PROSELYTIZING WHILE AT SCHOOLS OR THAT THEY SERVE STUDENTS FROM DIFFERENT RELIGIOUS BACKGROUNDS.

FURTHERMORE, THE SUPREME COURT HAS CONSISTENTLY PROTECTED STUDENTS AGAINST A RELIGIOUSLY COERCIVE ATMOSPHERE.

FOR EXAMPLE, IN ITS CASE LYNCH V DONNELLY.

IN 1984, JUSTICE SANDRA DAY O'CONNOR STATED, QUOTE, NO LAW OR RULING COULD ENDORSE OR DISAPPROVE OF RELIGION.

ENDORSING A SPECIFIC RELIGION WOULD LEAD THOSE MEMBERS TO THINK OF THEMSELVES AS PARTICULARLY SPECIAL, AND DISAPPROVING OF A SPECIFIC RELIGION WOULD ALIENATE THOSE MEMBERS.

END OF QUOTE.

CHILDREN SHOULD NOT BE ALIENATED IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM.

FINALLY, THE PROPOSED CHAPLAINS DID NOT HAVE SPECIAL TRAINING IN COUNSELING.

WHILE CHAPLAINS CONSIDER MATTERS OF BELIEF, WORSHIP, THE SOUL, PRAYER RITUALS, AND GOD, THEY ARE NOT TRAINED TO HELP STUDENTS DEAL WITH HOMOPHOBIA, PREGNANCY, PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE, HOMELESSNESS, EATING DISORDERS, SCHOOL SHOOTINGS, SELF-ESTEEM PROBLEMS, RACISM, SEXISM, POVERTY, SUICIDE THOUGHTS, BULLYING, AND PEER PRESSURES.

I ARGUE THAT ANY ADDITIONAL FUNDING SHOULD BE USED TO EMPLOY PROFESSIONAL AND QUALIFIED COUNSELORS, AND WE SHOULD KEEP IN MIND THAT FREE PUBLIC, SECULAR EDUCATION HISTORICALLY HAS HELD THE KEY FOR AMERICAN PROGRESS.

MY CHILDREN ARE GROWN, AND I'VE WATCHED CAREFULLY WHAT THEIR GREATEST STRUGGLES HAVE BEEN IN ACHIEVING THEIR ADULTHOOD.

PLEASE CONSIDER SERIOUSLY THE AGENDA ITEM TONIGHT THAT WOULD ADD PERSONAL FINANCIAL LITERACY AND ECONOMICS TO THE CURRICULUM AT HAYS HIGH.

OTHER THAN SLEEPING, MAKING MONEY AND SPENDING MONEY ARE THE ACTIVITIES THAT CONSUME MOST OF OUR TIME, AREN'T THEY? OUR GRADUATES HEADS ARE FULL OF FACTS ON MANY SCHOOL SUBJECTS, BUT MANY DON'T TRULY UNDERSTAND THE IMPACT OF TAPPING A CREDIT CARD OR SCANNING AN APPLE PAY ON THEIR ABILITY TO HAVE RESILIENT FINANCIAL HEALTH.

ONE MONTH AGO, CNN REPORTED THAT CREDIT CARD BALANCES JUST HIT A NEW HIGH OF OVER 1 TRILLION.

NOT A BILLION, BUT $1 TRILLION.

IT'S UP 48 BILLION IN JUST THREE MONTHS AND 154 BILLION IN A YEAR.

THE NUMBER OF HOUSEHOLDS ENTERING SERIOUS DELINQUENCY IS THE HIGHEST IT'S BEEN IN 12 YEARS.

AND SINCE 2020, EXPERIAN HAS SAID THAT GEN Z HAS HAD THE GREATEST INCREASE IN THEIR CREDIT CARD DEBT OF ANY AGE GROUP.

LET'S ADD ADVANCED SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING AND GREAT VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO THE CURRICULUM TO TEACH STUDENTS HOW TO EARN AN INCOME.

AND LET'S ADD PRINCIPLES OF EXERCISE AND WELLNESS TO HELP THEM STAY HEALTHY.

BUT ALSO LET'S TEACH THEM HOW TO BUDGET, SAVE, INVEST, AND MANAGE DEBT AND MAKE THEM TRULY SUCCESSFUL MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY. LET'S TEACH THEM TO DISCERN BETWEEN WHAT THEY WANT RIGHT NOW AND WHAT THEY WANT MOST IN LIFE.

I'M A MEMBER OF TEXAS IMPACT AND INTERFAITH ADVOCACY NETWORK, WHICH PROMOTES CLIMATE AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE ALONG WITH HUMAN RIGHTS AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT.

TEXAS IMPACT HAS OVER 35 CHURCH BODIES AND RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS AS MEMBERS, ALONG WITH MANY MORE CONGREGATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS.

I'M A PASTOR OF THE EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH IN AMERICA.

I AM A 1974 GRADUATE OF TRINITY LUTHERAN SEMINARY IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WITH A MASTER OF DIVINITY DEGREE. I HAVE SERVED CHURCHES WITH AS LITTLE AS 90 MEMBERS AND AS MANY AS 900 MEMBERS.

I'VE TAKEN TWO UNITS OF CLINICAL PASTORAL EDUCATION ALONG THE WAY, THAT'S ABOUT HALF OF WHAT YOU WOULD NEED TO BE A PROFESSIONAL CHAPLAIN.

I DID A FAIR AMOUNT OF YOUTH WORK IN MY MINISTRY, ESPECIALLY IN MY YOUNGER YEARS.

BUT MY FAVORITE AREA OF MINISTRY WAS PASTORAL CARE AND COUNSELING.

NOW, WHY AM I TELLING YOU ALL OF THIS ABOUT ME? BECAUSE EVEN WITH 49 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE MINISTRY AND ALL THE TRAINING THAT I HAVE RECEIVED OVER THE YEARS, I AM IN NO WAY QUALIFIED TO BE A SCHOOL COUNSELOR.

THIS PAST SPRING, THE TEXAS LEGISLATURE PASSED SENATE BILL 73, WHICH GIVES SCHOOL DISTRICTS THE OPTION TO HIRE CHAPLAINS TO REPLACE SCHOOL COUNSELORS, THAT'S AN ITEM ON YOUR AGENDA THIS EVENING.

WE AT TEXAS IMPACT ARE OPPOSED TO THAT BECAUSE THOSE TWO PROFESSIONS REQUIRE TWO VERY DIFFERENT SKILL SETS AND TRAINING.

WE'RE NOT OPPOSED TO CHAPLAINS IN GENERAL, BUT WE BELIEVE THAT HIRING THEM IN SCHOOL AS SCHOOL COUNSELORS WOULD NOT GIVE STUDENTS THE GUIDANCE THEY NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL ACADEMICALLY.

EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT TO ME.

I'M ON THE BOARD OF CAPITAL IDEA, WHICH EACH YEAR PROVIDES LOW INCOME STUDENTS IN CENTRAL TEXAS WITH OVER $2 MILLION OF SCHOLARSHIPS AND OTHER KINDS OF AID TO ATTEND AUSTIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

STUDENTS NEED PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED COUNSELORS TO HELP PREPARE THEM FOR THOSE KINDS OF OPPORTUNITIES.

VERY IMPORTANT TO ME PERSONALLY IS THAT I HAVE TWO GRANDCHILDREN IN THE HAYS CISD SYSTEM.

ONE'S A SENIOR AT JOHNSON HIGH SCHOOL AND THE OTHER A THIRD GRADER AT NEGLEY ELEMENTARY.

AND I WANT TO SEE THEM TO HAVE THEM RECEIVE THE BEST EDUCATION POSSIBLE.

AND I BELIEVE THAT SCHOOL COUNSELORS NEED TO BE TRAINED TO DO THAT.

THEREFORE, I OPPOSED CHAPLAINS AS SCHOOL COUNSELORS.

I LIVE WITH MY PARTNER, AND OUR FAMILY IS GOING TO BE DIFFERENT THAN A LOT OF OTHER FAMILIES THAT ARE GOING TO BE IN HAYS CISD, BUT I DO FEEL LIKE WE WILL FIT IN HERE. HOWEVER, IF CHAPLAINS WERE TO BE EMPLOYED IN THE SCHOOLS, I WOULD HAVE TO THINK TWICE ABOUT THAT.

I'M ALSO AN ATTORNEY, AND I CAN TELL YOU THIS BILL THAT WAS PASSED IS POORLY WRITTEN, AND IT'S ALSO JUST A BAD IDEA.

CHAPLAIN IS NOT DEFINED IN THE BILL.

THE DUTIES ARE NOT DEFINED IN THE BILL.

IT SEEMS TO ME TO BE VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO IMPLEMENT IN A FAIR WAY OR EVEN A CONSTITUTIONAL WAY.

AND IF IT WERE TO BE IMPLEMENTED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT, I FEAR THAT IT WOULD OPEN UP THE DISTRICT TO LITIGATION, WHICH I KNOW IS A FOUR LETTER WORD IN THIS ROOM.

YOU KNOW, WHICH ARE THE BEST SCHOOLS? WHO'S GETTING THE BEST GRADES? I DON'T ALSO WANT TO HAVE TO THINK ABOUT, OKAY, WHICH CHAPLAIN IS EMPLOYED IN THAT SCHOOL? WHAT DENOMINATION ARE THEY? WHAT RELIGION ARE THEY? DO I HAVE TO WORRY THAT MY CHILD, BEING RAISED IN A NON-RELIGIOUS HOME, IS GOING TO POSSIBLY HAVE SOMEBODY TRY TO CONVERT THEM? ANY RELIGIOUS EDUCATION THAT HAPPENS SHOULD HAPPEN IN THE HOME AND IT SHOULD STAY THERE.

IT IS UP TO THE FAMILY.

I RECEIVED MY RELIGIOUS TEACHINGS FROM MY FAMILY WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, AND EVERY SINGLE FAMILY HAS THEIR OWN RIGHT TO DO THAT WITH THEIR OWN CHILDREN, AND ALSO THINKING ABOUT THE TEENAGERS AS WELL.

LIFE AS A TEEN IS HARD ENOUGH, PARTICULARLY IF YOU ARE LGBT, IF YOU ARE SOMEBODY WHO DOESN'T FIT INTO THE MAINSTREAM, AND THE IDEA THAT WHILE YOU'RE ALREADY GOING THROUGH EVERYTHING ELSE, YOU KNOW, ALL OF THE PRESSURE TO BE PERFECT ON SOCIAL MEDIA, TO GET PERFECT GRADES, TO GET INTO THE BEST SCHOOL, THE IDEA THAT ON TOP OF THAT, IT'S, HEY, WHY DON'T WE GO SEE THE CHAPLAIN AND WHY DON'T WE, YOU KNOW, SEE IF THAT PERSON CAN CHANGE YOU TO THEIR RELIGION AS WELL? IT'S JUST TOO MUCH.

OUR KIDS ARE ALREADY FACING SO MUCH, AND OUR FAMILIES ARE ALREADY FACING SO MUCH.

IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA.

AND I TELL YOU, IT MAKES ME VERY HAPPY TO SEE THAT THE RESOLUTION HERE TODAY IS TO NOT HIRE THEM.

I THINK THAT THAT'S THE BEST DECISION ON A LEGAL STANDPOINT, AND I BELIEVE THAT THAT'S THE BEST DECISION FOR THE COMMUNITY.

WE HAD 179 SPECIAL OLYMPICS ATHLETES AGES 8 TO 19 COMPETE AN SEVERAL OF OUR UCS BUDDIES.

ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL WERE THERE TO SUPPORT AND CHEER ON THEIR FELLOW PEERS.

DOWN AT THE BOTTOM AT TOBIAS ELEMENTARY, THERE WAS A CAMPUS WIDE PARADE SENDOFF FOR ALL OF OUR ATHLETES THAT WERE GOING TO BE GOING TO BOWLING COMPETITION.

AT THE TOP.

THAT'S KIND OF CUT OFF THERE.

YOU WILL SEE SIMON MIDDLE SCHOOL, OUR UCS PARTNERS, THEY ALL COOK TOGETHER AND SERVE TOGETHER A THANKSGIVING MEAL FOR ALL OF THE STAFF THERE.

SO IT WAS A GREAT, WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY.

THERE WAS A LOT OF DIFFERENT THINGS THAT WERE OCCURRING THERE.

THERE WAS FELLOWSHIP BETWEEN THE PEERS, THEY WERE COOKING TOGETHER.

THEY WERE PLAYING GAMES TOGETHER.

THEY WERE SERVING THE FOOD.

THEY WERE BUSING THE TABLES.

THEY WERE GREETING. THEY WERE SEATING.

IT WAS A VERY I GUESS, WHOLE LIKE FROM THE START TO THE END, IT WAS A WONDERFUL EVENT.

UP THERE AT THE TOP RIGHT, YOU'LL SEE A BARTON MIDDLE SCHOOL.

THEY ALSO HAD A SENDOFF WHERE THE BAND PLAYED, AND THEY HAD THE CHEERLEADERS THAT WALKED WITH THEM THROUGHOUT THE HALL.

THAT'S FROM FUENTES. THEY HAVE A UNIFIED CLUB WHERE THEY MEET AFTER SCHOOL, AND THEY DO ALL KINDS OF FUN ACTIVITIES.

THEY DO BASKETBALL, DRUM FIT, ARTS AND CRAFTS, WATER DAY, SINGING, KARAOKE.

SO IT'S A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY.

BUT THE STUDENTS LEAD WHAT ACTIVITIES THEY WANT TO DO.

SO OUR STUDENTS, WITH AND WITHOUT DISABILITIES WORK TOGETHER TO DECIDE AND PLAN THE CLUB EVENTS.

WHAT DO THEY WANT TO DO TOGETHER? SO IT REALLY PROVIDES THAT LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR STUDENTS.

WHEREAS SENATE BILL 763, PASSED BY THE 88TH TEXAS LEGISLATURE, REQUIRES EACH SCHOOL BOARD TO TAKE A RECORD VOTE BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2023 AND MARCH 1ST, 2024, ON WHETHER TO ADOPT A POLICY AUTHORIZING A CAMPUS OF THE DISTRICT TO EMPLOY OR ACCEPT AS A VOLUNTEER A CHAPLAIN UNDER EDUCATION CODE, CHAPTER 23.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE HAYS CISD BOARD OF TRUSTEES HEREBY DOES NOT PERMIT THE DISTRICT TO EMPLOY A CHAPLAIN IN LIEU OF A PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELOR TO PROVIDE SUPPORT SERVICES AND PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS AT THIS TIME.

AND AND SO THAT'S WHY WE DON'T WANT TO EMPLOY, CHAPLAINS IN LIEU OF THAT.

HOWEVER, WE DO HAVE A HISTORY OF HAVING THE ABILITY, FOR EXAMPLE, A A CHURCH PASTOR THAT WANTS TO COME UP AND MENTOR A GROUP OF KIDS, THAT THEY SERVE IN THEIR CHURCH OR THAT, COUNSELORS HAVE REACHED OUT TO THEM JUST BECAUSE THEY MIGHT NEED A MALE ROLE MODEL IN THEIR LIFE.

OR IF WE HAVE SOMEONE THAT WANTS TO SERVE IN FCA, WE HAVE CLUBS DEDICATED FOR THAT.

AND SO WE WILL CONTINUE TO ACCEPT, DIFFERENT PEOPLE FROM, BACKGROUNDS, CHAPLAINS, PREACHERS, PRIESTS, ETC.

TO COME IN AND SERVE ON OUR CAMPUS TO VISIT WITH MEMBERS OF THEIR CONGREGATION AT LUNCH AND SERVE AS MENTORS AS NEEDED.

BUT THEY WILL NOT TAKE THE PLACE OF OUR PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELORS TO PROVIDE ACADEMIC AND BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT AND COUNSELING SERVICES FOR OUR KIDS.

YOU KNOW, WE HAVE WE HAVE A LOT OF GREAT CHURCHES IN THIS COMMUNITY THAT HAVE YOUTH PROGRAMS THAT PEOPLE, CAN TAKE PART WITH AND HAVE A LOT OF MENTORING AT CHURCHES, IF THAT'S A NEED.

SO I'M, I'M IN FAVOR OF THIS MOTION.

I LIKE THE WAY IT'S WRITTEN. I THINK IT'S A GOOD THING TO REMIND FOLKS THAT WE WE DO HAVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR MENTORS FOR FCA IF FOLKS WANT TO GET INVOLVED WITH THOSE, PROGRAMS. SO I JUST WANTED TO GO ON RECORD TO SAY, YOU KNOW, I, I THINK I UNDERSTAND THE INTENT OF WHAT THEY WERE TRYING TO DO. I BELIEVE RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION IS BEST GIVEN IN HOUSES OF WORSHIP, AND NOT IN OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS, AND THAT THOSE DECISIONS NEED TO BE THAT OF THE STUDENT AND THEIR FAMILIES AND NOT OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT.

SO I AM STRONGLY IN FAVOR OF THE MOTION TO DENY THIS AND I DO HAVE A QUESTION HOWEVER, DR .

WRIGHT, AS FAR AS YOU KNOW, ALLOWING PASTORS TO VOLUNTEER, JUST FOR THOSE LISTENING, WHAT'S THE VETTING PROCESS LOOK LIKE AS FAR AS YOU KNOW, WHO WE ALLOW AS FAR AS, TO VOLUNTEER IN OUR SCHOOLS, BEING THAT THEY MAY BE, IN SOME CASES, EVEN ONE ON ONE WITH SOME OF OUR KIDS, YOU KNOW, GIVING THEM INSTRUCTION AND GUIDANCE.

WE HEARD FROM OUR STUDENT ADVISORY PANEL AT THE LAST LUNCHEON.

THE TOPIC OF COUNSELORS CAME UP.

AND HOW MANY OF THEM THROUGH NO FAULT OF THE COUNSELOR.

I'LL MAKE SURE I'M CLEAR ABOUT THAT, BUT HAVE TROUBLE GETTING THESE APPOINTMENTS BECAUSE THEY'RE LITERALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR SO MANY PEOPLE.

I BELIEVE YOU HAVE A LOT OF THOSE COMMUNITIES WHERE THEY'RE JUST KIND OF WAITING TO PICK UP IN ENROLLMENT.

SO THOSE ARE THE KIND OF FACTORS.
