IT IS OUR FAVORITE MOMENT OF ALL OF OUR BOARD MEETINGS, AND THAT IS OUR CAMPUS RECOGNITION.

TONIGHT, WE ARE FORTUNATE TO HAVE OUR WONDERFUL STARS FROM FUENTES ELEMENTARY.

I KNOW THAT MISS MARY NOBLE, ARE YOU COMING UP TO DO THE INTRODUCTION? IS THAT WHAT I'M READING ON MY SCRIPT OVER HERE. WELCOME TO THE PODIUM.

I AM ABSOLUTELY THRILLED TONIGHT TO WELCOME OUR FUENTES STARS, AND OUR ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PRINCIPAL KRISTIN SEIBEL WILL START US OFF. [APPLAUSE]

WE'RE VERY, VERY EXCITED TO BE HERE, AND I HAVE SOME VERY EAGER STUDENTS BEHIND ME THAT YOU'RE GOING TO GET TO MEET SOON AS WELL.

AS MISS NOBLE SHARED, I AM THE PRINCIPAL OF FUENTES ELEMENTARY, AND THIS IS MY AMAZING ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL, MS. CRAWFORD.

[APPLAUSE] THIS IS OUR 25TH YEAR OPEN FOR FUENTES.

IN THE SPRING, WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOME FUN OPPORTUNITIES TO CELEBRATE.

OUR MISSION AND VISION REALLY FOCUSES ON GROWING PASSIONATE LEARNERS AND EMPOWERING THEM TO BECOME EXCEPTIONAL GLOBAL CITIZENS.

CURRENTLY, WE HAVE 726 SHINING STARS THAT SHOW UP EVERY SINGLE DAY.

WE ARE A LITTLE SHY OF 60% TITLE 1.

WE HAVE ABOUT 82 LAB STUDENTS, AND WE ALSO HAVE TWO AMAZING FOUNDATIONAL LEARNING CLASSES.

ATTENDANCE HAS BEEN A HUGE PUSH THIS YEAR, AND I'M SO EXCITED TO SHARE THAT IF YOU LOOK AT OUR TRENDS, WE ARE BACK UP TO WHERE WE WERE RIGHT BEFORE COVID HAPPENED.

THIS IS A HIGHEST IT'S BEEN IN A NUMBER OF YEARS, AND NOT TO BRAG, BUT WE HAVE SAT IN THE NUMBER ONE SPOTS FOR 10 WEEKS.

FOR MOST IMPROVED.

BUDA ELEMENTARY WAS GIVING US A RUN FOR OUR MONEY FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS, BUT WE TOOK IT BACK THIS WEEK, AND WE'RE VERY EXCITED.

WITH PLCS THIS YEAR, ONE OF THE MAIN FOCUSES THAT WE HAD FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR IS TO REALLY FIND A WAY TO CREATE INTENTIONAL TIME THROUGH OUR PLANNING DAYS.

WITH THAT CAME THE VISION OF KYLE ELEMENTARY AND FUENTES ELEMENTARY PARTNERING TOGETHER DUE TO OUR SIMILARITIES IN DEMOGRAPHICS AND OUR POPULATION.

MR. MAXWELL AND I COLLABORATED, AND WITH EACH OF OUR PLANNING DAYS THAT THE DISTRICT HAS GRANTED, WE'VE BROUGHT OUR STAFF TOGETHER.

THE INTENT BEHIND THAT IS BECAUSE WE WANT TO PROVIDE INTENTIONAL TIME FOR OUR TEACHERS TO BE ABLE TO MEET OTHER PEERS IN THE SAME SITUATION.

WE ALSO WANT TO PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THEM TO BE ABLE TO HAVE IN-DEPTH CONVERSATION WITH INSTRUCTION AND MAKING SURE THAT THEY FEEL COMFORTABLE AS THEY'RE WALKING INTO THAT NEXT UNIT.

DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE WERE ABLE TO TAKE TEACHERS TO THE 15-DAY CHALLENGE, WE ALSO USE THAT AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO GROW OUR OWN LEADERS WITHIN.

NOW WE STARTED WITH OUR FIRST PLANNING SESSION, BEING ABLE TO USE OUR CAMPUS SUPPORT STAFF AND OTHER PEOPLE AT THE DISTRICT LEVEL TO COME IN AND HAVE THAT MEANINGFUL TIME.

BUT NOW WE'RE ABLE TO START HANDING IT OVER, AND WE HAVE A LOT OF TEACHER LEADERS WHO ARE LEADING THOSE SESSIONS WITHIN THEIR GRADE LEVELS.

WE'VE EVEN BEEN ABLE TO GET TOGETHER SOMETIMES DURING OUR PLC TIME THROUGHOUT THE WEEK AS WELL.

100% HAYS.

I'M SO PROUD OF OUR CAMPUS.

WE ARE DOING A NUMBER OF AMAZING THINGS.

ONE OF THEM IS WE HAVE A PHENOMENAL COUNSELOR, AND WE ARE ENSURING THAT OVER 63 FAMILIES WEEKLY ARE GETTING BACKPACK BUDDIES.

THIS IS A SPECIAL PARTNERSHIP THAT WE HAVE WITH HAYSHOPE2GO, AND WE ALSO COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT OUR FAMILIES THAT ARE ALSO DONATING FOOD FOR OUR BACKPACK BUDDIES.

IN ADDITION, WE HAVE A WONDERFUL PARTNERSHIP WITH CHAPA MIDDLE SCHOOL, AND WE HAVE A VIOLIN TEACHER THAT COMES OVER AND DOES AN AFTER SCHOOL CLUB FOR FOURTH AND FIFTH GRADERS.

OUR STUDENTS LOVE IT. THEY ALL HAVE VIOLINS IN THEIR HANDS, AND THEY ARE DEFINITELY ROCKING THE CLUB.

UNIFIED CHAMPIONS IS INCREDIBLY NEAR AND DEAR TO OUR HEART.

MISS HAYES IS ONE OF OUR AMAZING FOUNDATIONAL LEARNING TEACHERS, AND SHE IS ONE OF THE ONES THAT HELPS MAKE THIS MAGIC HAPPEN.

WITH OUR UNIFIED CHAMPIONS, IT'S AN AFTER SCHOOL CLUB WHERE OUR FOUNDATIONAL LEARNING KIDS ARE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTNER WITH OTHER STUDENTS ON CAMPUS.

THEY GET TO STAY AFTER SCHOOL TOGETHER AND THEY GET TO PARTICIPATE IN DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES AND I'M INCREDIBLY PROUD TO SAY THAT WE'RE WORKING VERY HARD TO EARN A BANNER BY THE END OF THE YEAR BY ALLOWING OUR STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN A PROGRAM CALLED YAP, THE YOUNG ATHLETES PROGRAM.

IT'S THROUGH THE FOUNDATION LEARNING PROGRAM AS WELL.

IN ADDITION, WE LOVE DOING STUFF WITH LEHMAN HIGH SCHOOL, AND ONE OF THE SPECIAL THINGS IS THEY COME OVER AND THEY'VE DONE A HAND WASHING CLINIC FOR ALL OF OUR LITTLE BABIES.

IT'S FUN TO SEE THEM IN THE HALLWAY, AND IT MAKES US INCREDIBLY PROUD.

LASTLY, THIS YEAR, WE HAVE TWO DESIGNATED DAYS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THAT WE'RE TRYING TO DO CLUBS ON CAMPUS DURING THE SCHOOL DAY SO THAT ALL STUDENTS CAN PARTICIPATE, AND IF ALL GOES WELL, THEN WE'RE HOPING TO EXPAND THAT THE FOLLOWING YEAR.

EMERGENT TREE HAS BEEN ANOTHER SPECIAL SPOT FOR OUR CAMPUS.

WE HAVE 100 CHART, AND WE HAVE GOAL SET FOR EVERY 25 STARS THAT WE GET AS A CAMPUS, THEN WE HAVE A CELEBRATION DAY.

I'M VERY EXCITED TO SHARE THE BEST PART ABOUT THIS IS THAT OUR STUDENTS GET VOICE IN WHAT THE CELEBRATIONS ARE.

THEY GET TO SHARE WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO DO AND ONE OF THE MOST SPECIAL MOMENTS WAS AFTER WE HAD 50 STARS, A STUDENT CAME TO ME AND WROTE A PERSUASIVE PAPER AS TO WHY THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO WEAR COSTUMES FOR ONE OF THEIR REWARDS.

AFTER TALKING TO THE COMMITTEE, WE DECIDED WE'D PUT THAT ON SO THE KIDS COULD VOTE IN A COURSE AT ONE, AND WE STARTED OCTOBER 1ST THAT WAY, SO JUST THINK ABOUT US AND HOW WE FELT ALL OCTOBER.

BUT THEY HAD SO MUCH FUN, AND AS I PUT THAT KID IN THE CAR ONE DAY FOR DISMISSAL, HE TURNED AROUND AND HE WAS LIKE, MS. SEIBEL, I CANNOT BELIEVE IT.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I SUGGESTED THAT AND THEN WE ALL GOT TO DO THAT.

IT JUST REMINDS US THE IMPORTANCE OF LETTING OUR STUDENTS HAVE VOICE, LETTING OUR STUDENTS HAVE CHOICE, AND THAT THEY LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

WE ALSO HAVE A FABULOUS SEL PROGRAM, AND SO OUR STUDENTS START THEIR DAY THE FIRST 15-20 MINUTES EVERY DAY.

THEY GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO COME TO CIRCLE TIME.

WITHIN THAT TIME, THEY GET TO DO THE COMMUNITY CIRCLE, AND THEY GET TO EXPERIENCE DIFFERENT IMPORTANT LESSONS THAT HELP THEM BECOME

A BETTER CITIZEN AND ALSO JUST WORK ON VOCABULARY WORDS AND GET TO WATCH EMPOWERING VIDEOS.

STAFF HIGHLIGHTS. THIS IS DEFINITELY A FUN ONE FOR ME.

OUR MOTTO THIS YEAR IS ONE TEAM ONE DREAM, AND MY GOAL WALKING INTO FUENTES WAS TO MAKE SURE MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE THAT THEY UNDERSTOOD THAT WE WERE FAMILY, THAT MY PARENTS UNDERSTAND THAT WE'RE FAMILY, AND THAT MY STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THAT WE'RE FAMILY.

THROUGH SOME OF OUR OTHER PARTNERSHIPS LIKE WOODMEN LIFE, WE'RE ABLE TO ACTUALLY HIGHLIGHT A TEACHER EVERY SINGLE MONTH.

THAT HAS BEEN SUPER REWARDING.

WE ALSO DO THE SUPERSTAR SNACK CART, AND ADMIN GOES AROUND AND WE SURPRISE THEM EACH MONTH JUST TO TELL THEM THAT WE SEE THEM, WE LOVE THEM, AND WE'RE SUPER PROUD OF THEM.

THEN THE THING I'M PROBABLY MOST PROUD OF IS STARTING NOVEMBER 1ST, MS. CRAWFORD AND I REALLY WANTED TO JUST BRING OUR STAFF TOGETHER AS FAMILY, AND WE WANTED TO SERVE OUR STAFF.

WE STARTED THE FUENTES FAMILY FEAST, AND WE STOOD BEHIND THE LINE, AND WE SERVED OUR STAFF AS THEY CAME THROUGH, AND THEN WE OFFERED AN OPPORTUNITY FOR US TO ALL BE TOGETHER AND JUST HAVE A NICE LUNCH ALL TOGETHER AS WE KICKED OFF NOVEMBER.

LASTLY, LOTS OF CELEBRATIONS.

WE REALLY ARE FOCUSED A LOT ON OUR COMMITTEES THIS YEAR AND FINDING WAYS TO BRING FAMILIES IN.

WE DID A FALL INTO READING, OUR LITERACY TEAM, DID A PHENOMENAL JOB.

EVERY SINGLE GRADE LEVEL WAS REPRESENTED THERE, AND WE HAD OVER 125 FAMILIES SHOW UP.

AT THAT OPPORTUNITY, THEY ALSO WERE ABLE TO PAINT A TILE FOR OUR CEILINGS SO THEY COULD LEAVE A LITTLE BIT OF THEIR LEGACY WITH OUR SCHOOL.

IN ADDITION, WE WERE ABLE TO GET DONATED TO US BRAND NEW BOOK SETS, 36 BRAND NEW BOOK SETS, WERE RAFFLED OFF THE NEXT MORNING FOR KIDDOS.

AND BOY, WERE THEY EXCITED TO GET TO RECEIVE THAT.

HANK WAS ALSO TEACHING THE CLASS IN THAT PHOTO.

LASTLY, WE HAVE MATH AND SCIENCE JUST HAPPENED, AND WE HAD OVER 150 PEOPLE COME TO OUR MATH AND SCIENCE NIGHT.

WE HAD A PLANETARIUM PRESENT, THANKS TO OUR PTA.

AGAIN, ALL OF OUR GRADE LEVELS WERE REPRESENTED.

WE HAD LINES AT EACH STATION BECAUSE KIDS WERE SO EXCITED TO BE THERE.

THIS PAST WEEKEND, WE PARTNERED WITH PTA TO DO OUR FAMILY FALL FESTIVAL.

ONE OPPORTUNITY YOU'RE WELCOME TO JOIN OUR FAMILY ON IS IN THE SPRING, WE DO HAVE OUR FINE ARTS NIGHT, AND WE'RE INCREDIBLY EXCITED ABOUT THAT.

FALL FEST THIS WEEKEND. I THINK SOME STUDENTS GOT SOME GOOD RETRIBUTION TO MS. SEIBEL.

SHE SAT THERE FOR A GOOD LONG WHILE TO MAKE SURE EVERY STUDENT GOT THE PUT PIE ON THEIR FACE.

I THINK SOME TEACHERS MISSED SOME OPPORTUNITIES TO HAVE FUN WITH THAT.

BUT IT'S JUST AN INCREDIBLE CAMPUS, AN INCREDIBLE COMMUNITY, BEING A WALKABLE COMMUNITY WITH SOME OF THE HOUSES RIGHT AROUND THERE.

SUCH A UNIQUE ATMOSPHERE THERE AT FUENTES ELEMENTARY, AND IT'S JUST VERY EXCITING TO GET THE WITNESSES PERSONALLY.

BUT I HEAR FROM ADMINISTRATORS, A MAJORITY OF THE COMMENTS ON HERE ARE FROM DISTRICT STAFF FROM MCCORMICK THAT HAVE COMMENTED ON HERE AND I'M GOING TO READ ONE BECAUSE IT'S IMPORTANT THAT I SAY THIS.

I'M A TEACHER AT MCCORMICK MIDDLE SCHOOL AND I CURRENTLY HAVE 176 STUDENTS.

THIS IS NOT INCLUDING MY ADVISORY STUDENTS THAT I ALSO SEE EVERY DAY.

WE ARE EXTREMELY OVERCROWDED AND IS SHOWING IN OUR CLASS SIZES.

MY LARGEST CLASS SIZE IS CURRENTLY 33 STUDENTS.

I'M UNABLE TO TRACK DATA, BUILD MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS, KEEP UP WITH GRADING, CONFERENCE WITH ALL OF THE STUDENTS, PULL SMALL GROUPS, OR KEEP TRACK WITH ACCOMMODATIONS WITH THE AMOUNT OF STUDENTS I HAVE.

I UNDERSTAND WANTING TO BUY TIME AND STUDENTS.

WE HAVE CAMPUSES THAT HAVE TO THAT ARE FEELING THE SQUEEZE.

IT HASN'T JUST BEEN MCCORMICK.

MY QUESTION IS TO DR.

RIGHT AND THE CNI TEAM ABOUT HOW ARE YOU ADDRESSING THE CONCERNS OF THIS STAFF? WHEN YOU HAVE A CAMPUS SIZE TO THAT NATURE, REGARDLESS OF THE BUILDING YEAH, WE PUT IN CLASS SIZES OR ADDITIONAL CLASSROOMS. BUT WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE REST OF THE FACILITIES ACROSS THAT CAMPUS, THEY'RE TOO SMALL FOR THE NUMBER OF KIDS THAT ARE THERE, AND WHILE WE ARE ADDRESSING IT ON THE BOND, THAT DOESN'T ADDRESS THE FACT THAT WE HAVE A TEACHER, TEACHERS THAT ARE TELLING US THAT THEY CAN'T BUILD MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS.

THEY CAN'T TRACK THAT DATA, AND THAT'S NOT THE ONLY TEACHER AT MCCORMICK THAT IS FEELING THIS AND IS EXPERIENCING THIS.

I'VE EVEN HAD PEOPLE THAT COME UP TO ME THAT SAID FORGET THE TRANSFER.

I MEAN, AT THIS POINT, LET'S JUST PUT SOME PORTABLES HERE JUST TO KEEP US TEMPORARILY FOR TWO YEARS IF THAT'S THE CASE, INSTEAD OF SPLITTING UP OUR COMMUNITY OF SCHOOL.

I PERSONALLY DON'T LIKE US SENDING MCCORMICK KIDS TO CHAPA IF THEIR FEEDER PATTERN IS GOING TO BE JOHNSON.

I WAS A PROUD MCCORMICK PARENTS.

THE REASON WHY YOU PROBABLY HAVE ABOUT 70 PARENTS THAT ARE REACHING OUT IS BECAUSE PEOPLE WANT TO STAY AT MCCORMICK.

I KNOW THAT THERE'S A VERY SMALL NUMBER AT DAHLSTROM BUT AT THE SAME TIME IF WE CAN'T DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE FACILITY SPACE TODAY, WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT HOW WE ARE ENGAGING WITH OUR STUDENTS, HOW WE ARE SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS, AND WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE FROM AN EDUCATIONAL STANDPOINT IN THE CLASSROOM.

THERE ARE SOME FOLKS THAT ACTUALLY LIVE FAIRLY CLOSE TO CHAPA IN THE ZONE A LITTLE BIT THAT COULD PASS BY THERE BEFORE THEY TURN UP. I THINK DAISY AND GO.

SO I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT WE'RE ON THAT, WE'RE LOOKING AT IT, IT MATTERS, AND WE'RE GOING TO BE DOING EVERYTHING WE CAN TO GET THE BEST DIRECTION THROUGH ON MCCORMICK.
