WE ARE A BILINGUAL CAMPUS SERVING 41% OF BILINGUAL STUDENTS.
WE ARE A TITLE ONE CAMPUS, AND ABOUT 80% OF OUR STUDENTS ARE ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED, AND WE HAVE 70% OF OUR STUDENTS IDENTIFIED AT RISK. OUR ATTENDANCE RATE STANDS AT 93%.

WE HAVE AN ATTENDANCE COMMITTEE. OUR TEACHERS WORK HARD EACH DAY TO MAKE PHONE CALLS TO OUR PARENTS.WE HAVE INCENTIVES FOR OUR STUDENTS, AND THIS YEAR WE IMPLEMENTED OUR THE ATTENDANCE TRAVELING TROPHY AND HERE ARE SOME PICTURES OF THE CLASSES THAT HAVE RECEIVED THAT TROPHY THIS SCHOOL YEAR AND ONE OF OUR PICTURES WE HAVE MISS OLVERA, MISS MARGARITA'S CLASS, AND MISS RODRIGUEZ'S CLASS AS WELL.
WE IMPLEMENTED. WE HAVE IMPLEMENTED THE 15 DAY PLC CHALLENGE THIS SCHOOL YEAR.
WE MEET EVERY TUESDAYS DURING CONFERENCE TIME, AND WE ALSO MEET MONTHLY WITH OUR TEAMS AND OUR INTERVENTIONISTS FOR MTS TEAMS MEETINGS, SO WE CAN REVIEW OUR STUDENTS PROGRESS AND REVIEW THE INTERVENTION STRATEGIES THAT WE ARE IMPLEMENTING.
IN THE PICTURE, YOU CAN SEE OUR DEDICATED TEACHERS WORKING WITH THEIR TEAMS IN PLANNING THE UNITS AND ALSO THE COMMON FORMATIVE ASSESSMENTS. WE ARE 100% COMMITTED TO OUR STUDENTS SUCCESS AND THEIR SOCIAL EMOTIONAL WEALTH. WE HAVE AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS SUCH AS ROBOTICS, CHOIR, WILLY WONKA AND ART AND ALSO THIS YEAR WE IMPLEMENTED OUR CHARACTER STRONG BODY CLASSES AND THE CHARACTER STRONG ASSEMBLIES.
SO IN BOTH EMBODIED CLASSES AND THE ASSEMBLIES ALL K THROUGH FIVE STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THE ASSEMBLIES AND THE BODY CLASSES WHERE IN THE BODY CLASSES, THE UPPER GRADE LEVEL STUDENTS MENTOR OUR LOWER GRADE LEVEL STUDENTS, AND THEY HAVE CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THE CHARACTER TRAIT OF THE MONTH, AND THEN THEY VISIT THE LOWER GRADE LEVEL CLASSES TO HAVE THOSE CONVERSATIONS.
WE DID A DRESS UP DAY, SO THE STUDENTS HAD TO DRESS AS THEIR AS SOMEONE THAT THEY RESPECT, AND YOU CAN SEE ONE OF OUR STUDENTS DRESSING UP AS OUR FANTASTIC COACH.
SO IT WAS PRETTY AMAZING. WE ALSO HOLD THE CHARACTER STRONG ASSEMBLIES EACH MONTH IN THE GYM, AND WE ARE WORKING AGAIN TOWARDS IMPLEMENTING DURING THE SCHOOL DAY CLUBS.
THAT WAY WE CAN CONTINUE THE 100% INITIATIVES IN OUR CAMPUS.

WE USE CHARACTER, STRONG PURPOSE OF PEOPLE AS OUR SOCIAL EMOTIONAL PROGRAM, AND OUR COUNSELOR PROVIDES THE LESSONS TWICE A MONTH IN THE LIBRARY AND THIS SEMESTER, MISS WICK IS IMPLEMENTING PARENTING CLASSES WHERE SHE IS SERVING OUR PARENTS OR GUARDIANS, AND SHE STARTED WITH THE HIGHLY CAPABLE KIDS.
SO THOSE ARE DURING THE DAY. SO WE INVITE OUR PARENTS AND THOSE ARE PROVIDED IN THE PLC ROOM AS WE CONTINUE SUPPORTING OUR STUDENTS THROUGH MENTORING PROGRAMS WITH DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS.
SO FAR, WE ARE SUPPORTING 24 STUDENTS. WE CONTINUE THE PARTNERSHIP WITH HAYS HOPE TO GO AND THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, MISS WICK AND MISS GONZALEZ PROVIDE COMMUNITY AND STUDENT SUPPORT THROUGH DIFFERENT PROGRAMS THROUGH FOR PBIS.
WE CONTINUE USING OUR EMERGENT TREE PROGRAM, AND MISS OWEN HAS BEEN WORKING VERY HARD AND DILIGENTLY, DILIGENTLY THIS YEAR, IMPLEMENTING THE SENSATIONAL BEHAVIOR AWARDS, WHERE WE WANT TO RECOGNIZE AND ENCOURAGE THE POSITIVE BEHAVIOR. SO WE MAKE SURE WE RECOGNIZE OR ANNOUNCE THE STUDENTS THAT HAVE RECEIVED POSITIVE BEHAVIOR REFERRALS, AND WE ANNOUNCE THEM DURING MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS. WE TAKE THEIR PICTURES AND THEY RECEIVE THEIR AWARD.

WE TAKE THE TIME TO RECOGNIZE SOME OF OUR STAFF MEMBERS, AND WE HAD THE VETERANS DAY CELEBRATIONS, AND WE WERE ABLE TO RECOGNIZE SOME OF OUR STAFF MEMBERS THAT ARE VETERANS.
SO IT'S ONE OF OUR TEACHERS RETIRED RECENTLY.
SO WE DID A LITTLE RECOGNITION FOR HER. FOR OUR SCHOOL CELEBRATION.
SO WE WANT TO HAVE FUN. WE WANT TO PROMOTE A CULTURE OF WE WANT TO HAVE THE STUDENTS FEEL ENGAGED AND WE WANT THEM TO WANT TO COME TO SCHOOL. WE ARE CONSTANTLY HAVING EVENTS.
RECENTLY, WE AS PART OF OUR EMERGENCY PROGRAM, WE REACHED OUR 150 GOAL BECAUSE WE HAVE THE BLACKBOARD. SO EVERY TIME THE STUDENTS COMPLETE THEIR BLACKBOARDS, THEY NEED TO COMPLETE A SUNRAY AND THEN THEY PUT IT IN THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL.
THE GOAL WAS TO GET 50 AND THE CELEBRATION. WE REACHED OUR GOAL.
SO, THE CELEBRATION WAS THAT WE TAPED OUR COACH TO THE WALL.
SO THAT WAS VERY FUN. WE DID IT DURING ONE OF OUR ASSEMBLIES.
WE RECENTLY REACHED OUR 100%, 100 RACE GOAL. SO, WE ARE THE PBIS COMMITTEE IS WORKING ON THE NEXT CELEBRATION AND IT'S A SCHOOL WIDE CELEBRATION. WE HAVE MISTER PELAYO HERE. HE EARNED THE HAYS EDUCATION GRANT.
SO, IT WAS A MOMENT THAT WE CELEBRATED WITH HIM.
WE'RE VERY PROUD OF HIM. WE ARE CONSTANTLY DOING DRESS UP DAYS FOR CHRISTMAS, RED RIVER WEEK, UNITY DAY, MISS CERVANTES WITH THE CHOIR, AND WE RECENTLY HAD ALSO OUR SPELLING BEE.

IT GOES WELL BEYOND JUST THIS ENVIRONMENT.IT GOES SO MUCH FURTHER THAN THAT AND SO WHAT I WANT TO SAY IS, I WANT TO SAY THAT WE'RE GOING TO DO WHAT WE DO EVERY SINGLE DAY AS BOARD MEMBERS AND AS PARENTS AND AS PEOPLE THAT LIVE IN THIS COMMUNITY, WE'RE GOING TO LOVE ON OUR KIDS, WE'RE GOING TO LOVE ON OUR STAFF, AND WE'RE GOING TO SUPPORT OUR CAMPUSES IN EVERY WAY THAT THEY POSSIBLY CAN.
